Poster 1 - Dr Dan Siegel devised the popular concept of the "Window of Tolerance" to help people understand whether their level of arousal was appropriate to the environment or task at hand. The Window of Tolerance is a fantastic tool when working with individual's who may have faced trauma and as a result find themselves dysregulating on a frequent basis. 

This infographic teaches clients the concept of physiological arousal in response to trauma triggers within our environment (e.g., limiting beliefs, physiological sensations, sounds, smells or situations). Trauma triggers and their hyper or hypo arousal response may lead to an array of harmful behaviors (e.g., addiction, isolation, self-harm, poor decisions etc.) Showing your client, a colorful, visual prompt helps to consolidate important therapy teachings. and fosters thought about behavioral responses between therapy sessions. 

Poster 2 - Offer your students, child or clients a bright, colourful reminder to reinforce grounding techniques and manage distress in-between sessions. Poster 3 - Stephen Porges Polyvagal theory is one of the most important developments in human neurobiology. It provides a comprehensive overview of how our autonomic nervous system is shaped by early relationships and with ongoing life experiences.

Helping clients understand the physiology behind trauma responses such as 'fight or flight' and 'freeze or collapse' can set the stage for introducing the concept of self-regulation and co-regulation. If relationships are experienced as dangerous, it is imperative the therapist provides a safe place of co-regulation to begin the process of autonomic reorganisation. 

Poster 4 - Tap into visual learning and set the foundations for a growth mindset and positive relationships with our informing mental health posters. Healthy boundaries are essential to maintain a solid sense of self. When boundaries are too weak or too rigid people may struggle to get their needs met. Enmeshed boundaries can lead people to accept behaviour in others that can cause distress and harm. Conversely, someone who has rigid boundaries may struggle with feelings of loneliness and neglect their needs for connection.
